Daughters of the Nile
Daughters of the Nile is an organization for women 18 years of age or older who are related to a Mason or Shriner. Our only charitable endeavor is Shriners Children’s Hospital and their network of medical facilities throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The Daughters of the Nile contribute monetary donations of over $2 million annually to Shriners Children’s Hospital through our Foundation and Trust. Since 1924, we have contributed over $68 million, second only to the Shriners themselves.

Our primary focus lies in fostering lifelong friendships, cultivating character, promoting intellectual growth, embracing a sense of service towards others, and upholding a belief in a Supreme Being.
To achieve our mission, the Daughters of the Nile holds meaningful ritualistic ceremonies that instill values and purpose. Additionally, we actively support and promote the Supreme Temple and Subordinate Temples, ensuring their continued success. We further contribute to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation and the Canadian Foundation, both dedicated to benefiting Shriners Children’s™, thereby extending our support to those in need.
At our core, we are devoted to nurturing the belief in the Fatherhood of God and the Sisterhood of Women, fostering unity among our members. Our unwavering commitment to service remains a cornerstone of our organization, driving us to make a positive impact on the lives of others.”
THEBES TEMPLE #87: The Ohio Chapter of Nile
Thebes Temple #87 provides clothing, quilts, games, toys, minor equipment, braces, prostheses, and any special needs of the children in the Shriner’s medical facilities. This is achieved through activities of special projects, sewing groups, and our nominal dues.
