Ladies of the Oriental Shrine (LOS)
The Ladies of the Oriental Shrine of North America, Inc. (LOSNA, or LOS) was founded in 1903 by a group of ladies who were related to Shriners and who loved to have fun. When the first Shriners Hospital was built in 1922, the LOS ladies committed themselves to supporting Shriners International’s official philanthropy, Shriners Children’s Hospitals. There are currently 67 local Courts throughout the United States and Canada. The members of The Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America strive to promote sociability, good fellowship, and the betterment of all ladies connected with the organization.
Each LOS Court also supports funding for special projects at the various Shriners Children’s Hospitals, as well as donating specified clothing and toys. Our ladies also volunteer at all Shriners Hospitals locations, supporting the staff and patients with their administrative and social needs.
A lady may become a member of LOS by being related to a Shriner or Mason, or she may become a member by being sponsored by two members of LOS. She must be 18 years of age or older and a resident for at least six months in the area of the Court in which membership is desired.
The Grand Council Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America (LOSNA) Foundation
Grand Council LOSNA is a 501c(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation with the purpose to support, assist, and fund medical care, equipment, research and development of new treatments, therapy, and the educational re-entry programs provided by the Shriners Children’s Hospitals. Donations to The Grand Council LOSNA Foundation are tax deductible under 501c(3) Internal Revenue Code.
Together, the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North American and the Grand Council LOSNA Foundation contribute well over half a million dollars annually to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Date: 4th Wednesday of each month (except June, July and August)

- Thea Chorus (singing unit)
- Line Dancers (dancing unit)
- Thea Patrol (marching unit)
Units typically meet weekly while preparing for Unit Meet and Ceremonial. Unit meeting days and times vary.
Installation fee is $50, which includes the first year’s dues. Thereafter, dues are $20 per year due by March 31st.
